Add daily DHA and EPA omega 3 Fish Oil Vitamins to Stay Healthy

posted by:
admin

You may not know it, but the addition of a daily DHA and EPA omega 3 fish oil vitamin could be exactly what you need for staying healthy. We all tend to expect to develop some sort of inflammatory ailment at some point in time, as it just seems par for the course as we advance in age. What if I told you that it is possible to avoid many of the physical problems that we take for granted will develop?

Studies have proven that high levels of omega 3 fatty acids in the system will ward off the development of many common ailments. These include cardiovascular disease, adult onset non-insulin dependent type 2 diabetes, arthritis, gout, and hormone driven cancers such as colon, prostate, and breast cancer. You can even prevent asthma, allergies, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Why is it exactly that a daily DHA and EPA omega 3 fish oil vitamin has the ability to prevent so many different ailments from forming? It is due to the ability of the omega 3 fatty acids to counteract the inflammation that is produced when n-6 fatty acids are called to duty by the immune system in order to fight infection. Once the n-6s get going there is no other way to turn inflammation production off other than n-3 fatty acids.

It is ideal to maintain a balance between the levels of these different fatty acids, but this is made nearly impossible by the foods that we eat. N-6s are heavily predominant in poultry and eggs, cereals, baked goods, whole grain breads, and the majority of vegetable oils. These foods contain many times more potentially damaging n-6 fatty acids than healing omega 3s.

Our diets have made the use of a daily DHA and EPA omega 3 fish oil vitamin an absolute necessity if we are going to remain healthy. Fatty fish are the only dietary source that we have for providing us with the DHA and EPA fatty acids our bodies need. The often mentioned flaxseed oil offers little benefit so far as disease prevention goes, as it contains high levels of omega 3s but not the right ones.

You don’t want to increase the levels of DHA and EPA omega fatty acids in your blood by increasing your intake of the fatty fish that provide them, as is often recommended. Fish oil supplements are much safer for you, because the oil has been purged of the high levels of mercury, lead, dioxins, and PCBs commonly found in fish. These supplements are also highly concentrated.

My recommendation for a DHA and EPA omega 3 fish oil vitamin is one that includes Lycopene and Astaxanthin, which are both extremely powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants help to heal the oxidative damage caused by the activity of free radicals. Free radical damage has been called by some the single biggest factor as to why our bodies break down as we get older.

Make no mistake about it. A daily DHA and EPA omega 3 fish oil vitamin with Astaxanthin and Lycopene will do your body a world of good.
